| Hammerfest Flare lifted in one!
November 2005 saw the 130m high Hammerfest flare structure lifted into position using a novel technique. This flare will serve the Statoil Snovit project located in Northern Norway. This is believed to be the largest single piece flare lift ever attempted, the structure weighed in at nearly 700 tonnes.
Busy Times in the Flare Industry
With the oil price at record levels it perhaps isn't surprising that industry investment is intensive at present, GBA has been favoured with major awards for Sharq (KSA), Thai Olefins Co. (Thailand), Aramco Khursaniyah (KSA), RasGas (Qatar) and Statoil Mongstad (Norway).
Opportunities
As a result of the above GBA is now looking to recruit additional personnel at both our London and Milan offices. If you have experience in Process Design and/or Project Management in the Oil & Gas equipment supply industry we'd like to hear from you. In addition we are also looking for an experienced document controller / administration assistant for our Burnham office.
